1. Which hour was most daunting for you?
Hour 7, I think. That was around 2 am here.

2. Could you list a few high-interest books that you think could keep a Reader engaged for next year?
Go for YA titles — Diana Wynne Jones’s books are fun and quick to read. Manga/comics would be fun too, I think.

3. Do you have any suggestions for how to improve the Read-a-thon next year?
No, not really — this one was pretty perfect!

4. What do you think worked really well in this year’s Read-a-thon?
Twitter! Maybe a bit too well — I think a lot of us were glued to the Twitter feed instead of our books. ;)

5. How many books did you read?
I read five books. I finished three.

– Race of Scorpions by Dorothy Dunnett; I started this before the read-a-thon, still haven’t finished it
– Moonbird by Joyce Dunbar and Jane Ray, a picture book

The Goose Girl — looking forward to other books by Shannon Hale

8. Which did you enjoy least?
Moonbird — pretty pictures, but the story could’ve been a lot better

9. If you were a Cheerleader, do you have any advice for next year’s Cheerleaders?
Not a Cheerleader, but they did such a good job!

10. How likely are you to participate in the Read-a-thon again? What role would you be likely to take next time?
Very likely! (I wanted to say “Imminent” but alas, scheduling constraints.) A Reader again, though maybe I can try cheerleading on the side!
